Deer damage will never go away. It has to be managed correctly by identifying the source of the damage and dealing with it in the best possible way. If an incorrect plan is carried out this can result in yet more damage and further loss of revenue for the landowner.
Crofters and farmers are usually concerned by the need to protect agricultural land used to grow crops or raise cattle/sheep. In these circumstances, deer may not be viewed as an asset but as a potential problem. If deer are entering your land and grazing or trampling crops then the crofter or farmer may require the deer to be shot to reduce the risk of damage. This is where we at Highland Deer Management come in. For the Crofter/Farmer we offer a no fee system to control the deer on your land, all that is required is that we are given permission to be on your land with our firearms and also that we take the deer we shoot as this would cover our costs for fuel/bullets and vehicle upkeep etc. (As a goodwill gesture we would give the landowner a fully butchered deer or multiple butchered deer depending on numbers on the land) .
Further to the deer management we will provide a free pest control service for rabbits/foxes etc.
